Title : Transforming stabilizations into spaces.
Abstract : We show that the stabilization term of a DG method can be transformed into a function that, when added to the approximate solution, increases its order of convergence. We show the full construction for a model ODE, and then, for the 1D transport equation, we discuss the heuristics of the method and show numerical results showing that the order of convergence is increased from k+1 to 2k+1. This can be achieved on unstructured meshes by applying a local post processing at the end of the simulation.
