May 2016 : Xavier Mestre is a senior researcher at Centre Tecnològic de Telecomunicacions de Catalunya (Barcelona). He is an expert of applications of large random matrices to high-dimensional signal processing. During his stay, he will collaborate with P. Loubaton and J. Najim (LIGM) on large dimensional detection problems.

He made in particular important contributions to the study of isoperimetric inequalities for log-concave distributions, as well as in the study of various functional inequalities related to the concentration of measure phenomenon.
